About the Role:

Demand Planning Coordinator Jobs in Kalumbila Reporting to the Superintendent – Demand & Supply, the Demand Planning Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability of critical stock and major commodities.

You will manage demand planning processes, coordinate inventory replenishment, and align material availability with forecasted site requirements. Your expertise will support operational efficiency and contribute to the overall success of Barrick Lumwana Mining.

Key Responsibilities Manage the demand planning process to enable timely and accurate forecasting and replenishment of essential commodities. Ensure on-time replenishment of commodity consumables and maintain adequate stock levels on site.

Monitor compliance with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) runs and conduct weekly KPI reviews. Coordinate annual, quarterly, and monthly demand planning meetings for key commodities.

Serve as a technical and commercial liaison between Supply Chain, customers, and operational support teams. Support the development and standardization of business processes aligned with industry best practices.

Administer consignment and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and accurate SAP records. Ensure adherence to company policies related to contracting, procurement, and demand forecasting.

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across mining operations. Prepare reports and analytical data to support Procurement and Supply Chain KPI management.

Promote workplace safety by ensuring personnel are trained, safety initiatives are supported, and incidents are properly reported and investigated. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance demand planning, inventory availability, cost efficiency, and supply chain performance.

Candidate Requirements Full Grade 12 School Certificate. Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or demand planning, preferably in mining or heavy industry. Strong knowledge of international contracts and commercial terms.

Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS). Proven negotiation and commercial management skills.

Experience with SAP, SYSPRO, SAGE, or other ERP systems. Advanced analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics tools such as Power BI and SQL. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical requirements into clear procurement documentation.
