Kafubu Farm – NDOLA
Goldenlay Kafubu farm, is inviting applications from qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of farm supervisor.
• Plan, execute and oversee row-cropping operations — maize, soya beans & wheat.
• Manage the cropping team and commercial-scale farm operations.
• Operate and maintain centre-pivot irrigation systems.
• Oversee farm machinery, including tractors, planters, sprayers & combine harvesters.
• Provide technical and mechanical support for agricultural equipment.
• Assist with budgeting, input planning and cost control.
• Oversee land preparation, planting, spraying, fertilisation, harvesting & storage.
• Lead, train and motivate operators and seasonal workers.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting.
• Ensure safety, environmental & labour compliance.
• Conduct field scouting, yield tracking & soil health monitoring.
• Support irrigation expansion from 164 ha to 650 ha, including dam construction, bush clearing, pivot installation and land movement/levelling.
• Degree/Diploma in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial row cropping and large-scale supervision.
• Experience supervising centre pivots and irrigation systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly John Deere equipment.
• Proficient in daily planning and agronomic record keeping.
• Able to operate tractors, planters, spray rigs & combine harvesters.
• Strong leadership, communication & organisational skills.
• Must be willing to live on the farm as accomodation is provided.
