Our client, a well-established automotive manufacturing company based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Cost Accountant to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse cost reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Monitor production costs and identify variances
• Maintain accurate standard costing and BOMs
• Assist with inventory management and stock valuations
• Perform reconciliations and support month-end processes
• Provide insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability
• Work closely with operations and production teams

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Cost Management
• 2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive experience advantageous)
• Strong understanding of costing principles and financial analysis
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
• High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
