What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Manage Agreements: Review and draft all engineering procurement, supply chain contracts, and vendor agreements.
- Coordinate Negotiations: Spearhead commercial talks regarding project timelines, service terms, and delivery deadlines.
- Optimize Risk: Assess commercial exposures in major municipal and industrial tender applications early.
- Oversee Disputes: Resolve project claims, contract variations, and disagreements smoothly before they escalate.
- Track Performance: Monitor contractor delivery metrics against agreed key operational milestones regularly.
- Collaborate Internally: Work closely with legal, sales, finance, and engineering teams to ensure project success.
- Maintain Repositories: Keep all active corporate contracts neatly organized and secured on digital systems.
What You Need to Apply (Qualifications & Experience)
- Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Law or equivalent law diploma / certification.
- Experience: Minimum of five years managing contracts in an engineering, technical supply, or industrial environment.
- Industry Tools: Good operational knowledge of standard engineering frameworks like JBCC, NEC, or FIDIC or equivalents.
- Core Skills: Excellent communication, a problem-solving attitude, sharp negotiation skills, and a strong work ethic.
