An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially minded professional to join a leading organisation in Cape Town as a Commercial Advisor. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who can drive business performance, support commercial decision-making, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide commercial support and advice to management and operational teams.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify business opportunities and risks.
- Develop, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with commercial obligations.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support business growth strategies.
- Prepare commercial reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management.
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Assist with tender submissions, pricing strategies, and business development initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a commercial, financial, business analysis, advisory, or client-facing role.
- Strong commercial acumen and business understanding.
- Experience with contract management and commercial negotiations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle would be advantageous.
- RE5 qualification would be advantageous.
Advantageous
- Experience within financial services, insurance, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, energy, mining, or related industries.
- Postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance, or Commercial Management.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial modelling.
