Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-level, and effective lessons tailored to the Cambridge A-Level History curriculum.
  • Formulate clear schemes of work, advanced lesson plans, robust assessments, and university-preparatory learning materials.
  • Support students through the rigorous demands of A-Level exams to ensure strong academic outcomes.
  • Track student progress closely, identifying areas for intervention and offering constructive feedback.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages historiography, critical analysis of sources, essay writing, and historical debates.
  • Collaborate with peers in departmental meetings and contribute to broader school activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Education (History) or a relevant specialized humanities field.
  • Professional Registration: Must have a valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) registration and a current practicing license.
  • Experience: Prior experience teaching Cambridge International A-Level History is a strong advantage.
  • Skills: Expert-level knowledge of historical content, essay evaluation, and specific A-Level History assessment and examination requirements. Highly developed communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
  • References: Must provide traceable professional references.
  • Attributes: Deep dedication to teaching and fostering academic excellence in young adults.
