Role
Purpose
As
the Branch Manager you are the CEO of the branch and custodian of the local
market. This role exists to grow sales, expand market share, build
high-performing teams, and protect company assets while ensuring strict
compliance with company processes, systems, and brand standards.
The
Branch Manager is accountable for owning the branch market, understanding local
customer behavior, and transforming the branch into a consistently
high-performing business unit that meets international retail execution
standards.
Description
1.
Sales Performance
- Own and deliver all
branch sales targets—monthly, quarterly, and annual.
- Translate company
strategy into branch-specific sales plans based on local market dynamics.
- Actively grow branch
market share by identifying customer segments, competitors, pricing
sensitivities, and demand patterns within the branch catchment area.
- Capitalize on local
opportunities through targeted promotions, 3m outreach, partnerships, and
proactive selling.
- Lead daily sales execution
on the showroom floor, ensuring strong conversion, pricing discipline, and
customer engagement.
2.
Local Market Intelligence & Competitive Awareness
- Develop a deep
understanding of the branch’s local market, including customer profiles,
traffic patterns, buying cycles, and competitor activity.
- Regularly gather and
share market intelligence with Area Sales Manager and Head of sales and
Marketing
- Use local insights to
recommend improvements in product focus, promotions, showroom layout, and
customer approach.
- Ensure the branch is
commercially relevant and competitive within its immediate market
environment.
3.
LMA
- Build, lead, and
retain a high-performing, disciplined, and customer-focused branch team.
- Set clear roles, KPIs,
and behavioral standards for all staff.
- Coach and mentor sales
consultants on selling skills, product knowledge, customer handling, and
compliance.
- Conduct regular
performance reviews, one-on-one coaching sessions, and structured
training.
- Address
underperformance promptly while developing future leaders within the
branch.
4.
Compliance with Company Processes & Policies
- Enforce full
compliance with all company policies, approval frameworks, and standard
operating procedures.
- Ensure strict
adherence to pricing, discount approvals, and cash-handling controls.
- Act as the first line
of control against fraud, revenue leakage, and operational risk.
5.
Stock Accuracy & Inventory Control
- Take full ownership of
branch stock accuracy and inventory integrity.
- Ensure all stock
movements are correctly captured in the ERP system in real time.
- Conduct cycle counts,
support stock takes, and resolve variances swiftly.
- Align stock
availability with sales priorities, promotions, and showroom requirements.
6.
Showroom Damages Control & Asset Protection
- Protect company assets
by enforcing proper handling, display, and care of all showroom products.
- Minimize damages
through staff training, customer supervision, and preventive controls.
- Ensure timely and
accurate reporting of damages in line with company policy.
- Maintain a
professional, safe, and well-presented showroom environment.
7.
Branch Operations & Customer Experience
- Oversee daily branch
operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant execution.
- Ensure proper
staffing, duty rosters, opening and closing procedures, and operational
discipline.
- Resolve customer
complaints professionally, protecting both the customer experience and
company interests.
- Ensure service
delivery reflects customer
centricity, premium, trustworthy retail brand.
8.
ERP Compliance & Digital Discipline
- Ensure 100% ERP usage
compliance for all branch transactions and reporting.
- Eliminate manual
workarounds, or undocumented transactions.
- Use ERP data to
monitor sales performance, stock accuracy, pricing compliance, and
operational health.
- Champion system
discipline as a foundation for scalability and control.
9.
International Showroom Standards & Brand Execution
- Ensure the showroom
consistently meets international retail standards in layout, cleanliness,
lighting, pricing visibility, and product presentation.
- Implement and enforce
approved showroom checklists and visual merchandising standards.
- Conduct regular
showroom audits and corrective actions to maintain world-class
presentation.
10.
Branch Transformation
- Diagnose performance
gaps across sales, people, stock, and operations through Velocity walks
- Develop and execute
structured improvement plans to elevate branch performance.
- Drive a culture of
accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
