An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Bookkeeper to Trial Balance to join a busy finance team. 

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with both creditors and debtors, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of financial administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process journals, financial postings and adjustments up to trial balance.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards, legal requirements and company policies.
• Assist with annual audit preparation, including audit packs, fixed asset register audits and quarterly insurance updates.
• Manage the full creditors function, including reconciliations, payment requisitions, banking detail verification, payment loading and foreign payment documentation.
• Manage debtor accounts, including reconciliations, customer statements, weekly age analysis, customer credit applications and Credit Data compliance.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and assist with debt collection and recovery processes.
• Reconcile and manage company bank accounts, credit cards, petrol cards and petty cash.
• Process supplier invoices and ensure supporting documentation is submitted for procurement processing where required.
• Perform general finance administration, filing and other ad hoc accounting duties.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Relevant qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' bookkeeping experience.
• Experience working on Pastel Evolution or a similar accounting system.
• Experience with SAP Business One will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Professional, responsible and accountable work ethic.
