About the Role

Varun Beverages Zambia Limited, the bottler of PEPSI is looking for a detailed- focused Billing Accountant to manage customer invoice, credit notes, and revenue assurance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Invoicing: Generate daily/ weekly invoices for distributors + key accounts. Ensure pricing discounts, VAT 16% are 100% accurate on SAP/ ERP.
2. Credit Notes and Adjustments: Process returns, breakages promo discounts. Reconcile with sale team to avoid revenue leakage.
3. Customer Accounts: Maintain customer billing master data. follow up on disputed invoice + resolve with Sales and Warehouse.
4. Reconciliation: Daily billing vs dispatch reconciliation. Monthly revenue + debtor reconciliation or finance Manager.
5. Compliance: Ensure all invoices comply with ZRA e-invoicing requirements. Support VAT returns with billing schedules.
6. Reports: Provide aging reports, billing accuracy KPIs, and revenue leakage analysis to management.

Qualifications

1. Education: Diploma/ Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA part 2, or ZICA CA Zambia.
2. Experience: 2+ years billing, AR, or accounts receivable experience is a strong plus.
3. Technical Skills: Advanced excel. Experience with SAP, Navision, Pastel, or any ERP. Must know VAT +invoice compliance.
4. Skills: High accuracy, deadline-driven, strong analytical skills. Must handle pressure during month-end.
5. Must understand Zambia tax invoicing rules.
