Job Description

Our client, a leading retailer based in Roodepoort, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced and motivated Bakery Manager to oversee the complete operation of the bakery department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, production, stock control, food safety, merchandising, and ensuring the department achieves sales and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the bakery department
• Lead, train and develop bakery staff
• Ensure product quality, freshness and availability
• Manage production schedules and stock levels
• Control wastage and maximise profitability
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
• Maintain high merchandising and customer service standards
• Monitor department performance and implement corrective actions where necessary
