• Artisan Boiler Maker Jobs in Kalumbila As an Artisan Boiler Maker, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining both planned and unplanned plant equipment.

The role demands a high level of technical expertise to perform maintenance tasks safely and effectively, ensuring all work meets stringent quality standards and company expectations. Key Responsibilities Perform structural repairs and alterations on plant equipment.

Carry out general fabrication and welding tasks, demonstrating full welding skills. Operate oxy and acetylene cutting torches proficiently.

Interpret and work from schematic and fabrication drawings accurately. Inspect components to assess reliability and support preventative maintenance procedures.

Take necessary precautions to minimize hazards to personnel and equipment during maintenance activities. Provide regular feedback to management regarding job progress, issues, and planned work.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Required Competencies and Experience Comprehensive knowledge of metal types, welding processes, electrodes, and welding wire.

Ability to interpret complex fabrication drawings and perform heavy fabrication work. Experience with fixed and mobile plant maintenance.

Proficiency in welding aluminium and cast iron, oxy lancing, air arc gouging, gas and gasless welding wires. Skills in silver soldering, brazing, and bucket repairs.

Minimum of three years’ experience in mining or heavy industry. Relevant artisan certification in fabrication and welding is essential.

Valid driver’s license and computer literacy are advantageous where applicable. Personal Attributes and Professionalism Demonstrate professionalism, organizational skills, and a results-driven mindset.

Maintain confidentiality and act with honesty and integrity in all interactions. Exhibit strong time management, accuracy, and communication skills in English.

Commitment to meeting or exceeding maintenance, operational, and safety targets. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Capable of managing maintenance work in a technically challenging and remote environment. Qualifications Grade 12 Certificate (minimum requirement).

Crafts Certificate in Metal Fabrication. Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).

All qualifications must be certified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
