JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for preparing, examining, and analyzing financial records and ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage vendor invoices, payments, and credits; ensure timely payment to suppliers and follow up on overdue payments from customers.
  • Implement effective inventory management practices, including tracking, valuation, and reconciliation.
  • Analyze and report on production costs, including labour, materials, and overhead expenses.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support business growth, improvement, and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls; identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial records.
  • Streamline financial processes, implement automation, and enhance internal controls.
  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audits, ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and assist in addressing audit findings.
  • Manage tax obligations, including calculations, payments, and returns.
  • Support business growth and strategic initiatives with financial planning, modelling, and analysis.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including customer service, logistics, and sales.
  • Provide financial training and guidance to non-financial staff.

Required skills and qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Professional certification is a plus 
  • 1-2years of experience in accounting or finance.
  •  Proficiency in accounting software e.g ERP, Google sheet,MS Word and MS Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, experience in account management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
