My name is Lusambo Davison, and I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Chalimbana University, where I studied under the supervision of Mr. Malubila. I am a student member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA), and I take my professional development seriously — continuously building my technical skills alongside my academic training. Over the course of my studies, I gained hands-on experience through two finance internships: one with Namwala Town Council, where I worked on cash book preparation, bank and daily reconciliations, debt management, and expenditure analysis, and another with Chongwe Municipal Council's Finance Department, where I supported filing, stock sheet management, and receipting. These placements gave me a practical understanding of how financial operations run day-to-day in a public institution, beyond just the theory I learned in the classroom. Alongside my academic and internship experience, I've held leadership roles that shaped how I work with people and manage responsibility. I served as Acting Finance Minister for the Chalimbana University Students' Union, where I was trusted with financial coordination and decision-making on behalf of the student body. I've also completed certificate training in Advanced Excel and in Public Resource Management, Public Speaking and Debate, which have strengthened both my analytical and communication skills. I consider myself hardworking, disciplined, and genuinely passionate about accounting and finance. I enjoy solving problems, paying close attention to detail, and I'm always looking for ways to grow — whether that's deepening my knowledge of IFRS standards, improving my financial modeling in Excel, or simply learning from more experienced professionals around me. I'm now looking to bring this foundation into an entry-level accounting or finance role where I can contribute meaningfully and keep developing my career.
