Starting from scratch does not mean starting with nothing. You may already have discipline, communication, teamwork, problem-solving ability, or technical curiosity. The challenge is turning those qualities into evidence.
Look for small projects you can complete. Build a portfolio, volunteer for a community task, help a small business organise records, support an event, create sample designs, or document a learning project.
When you apply, describe what you did, the tools you used, and the result. Employers respond better to proof than to claims.
Be open to stepping-stone roles. Your first opportunity may not be your dream job, but it can teach workplace habits, customer service, reporting, teamwork, and accountability.
A career is built through evidence. Start collecting it now, even before your first formal job offer.
